THE PROJECT STORY
Fendi × Sarah Coleman
For Fendi’s Miami Design District boutique, New York artist Sarah Coleman created one-of-a-kind design pieces using Fendi fabrics and archival imagery. Commissioned by Fendi, the collaboration brought the artist’s treatment of the house’s materials into the boutique environment.

An artist’s perspective on the house
Fendi’s fabrics and archival imagery supplied the starting point for Coleman’s pieces. Within the boutique, those materials appeared in a new context, connecting the brand’s visual history with objects and furniture encountered throughout the space.
Making the installation tangible
Lin Projects worked directly with Sarah Coleman on the full production build-out. Our scope included custom furniture, exterior design and painting, and custom stairways, carrying the collaboration into several parts of the boutique.
We also managed logistics between New York and Miami. That role connected the artist’s work with the production of the installation, bringing the custom elements and the physical space together as one project.
A complete boutique expression
The finished environment brought together artist-created pieces, custom furniture, and work on the boutique itself. The project shows how Lin Projects supports an artist and a brand through both the creative collaboration and the practical work of building an installation.
